Day 1 Ha Noi :
Arrive in Ha Noi. Enjoy a city tour then prepare for the coming adventure with a review of the day-to-day program. Overnight Hanoi (D)
Day 2 Mai Chau :
Drive to Mai Chau. Begin a trek along scenic paths through local villages. Spend the next two nights in traditional houses with hill tribe families.

Day 3 Mai Chau :
Continue exploration of local villages on foot. (B,L,D)

Day 4 Hai Phong :
Morning trek on a hilly terrain along buffalo paths connecting the villages. After lunch, drive back to Ha Noi. Later depart for the port city of Hai Phong. (B,L,D)
Day 5 Ha Long Bay :
Travel by boat to Cat Ba Island. Explore the island by mortorbike, take a cruise in the bay, and camp on the beach or on board the private sampan. (B,L,D)

Day 6 Ha Long Bay :
Explore the many islands by kayak. Camp out on the beach or overnight on board. (B,L,D)
Day 7 Ha Noi :
Cruise to Ha Long City then drive back to Ha Noi. Overnight Hanoi (B,L,D)
Day 8 Departure Day:
Depart for home or begin another "Asian Passage." (B)
