Day 1  Paro

Arrive Paro. Transfer to the hotel.

Overnight Paro  (L,D).

Day 2  Paro

Excursion to Taktshang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest) and evening visit some sights.

Day 3  Paro – Thimphu

Morning drive to Thimphu. Afternoon sightseeing of the Thimphu valley.

Day 4  Thimphu

Thimphu valley sightseeing.

Day 5   Thimphu – Punakha

Drive to Punakha via Dochula pass with a good view of the northern Himalayan ranges. Afternoon hike to Chimi Lhakhang.

Day 6   Punakha

Morning visit Punakha Dzong and hike to Khamsum Yuelay Namgyal Choeten. Afternoon explore Nobgang village.

Day 7   Punakha – Trongsa

Drive to Trongsa and view Chendebji Choeten. Afternoon visit Ta-Dzong

Day 8  Trongsa – Bumthang

Drive to Bumthang, visit the woolen textile store in Chumey. Afternoon visit Jakar Dzong

Day 9   Bumthang

Sightseeing of Bumthang valley.

Day 10   Bumthang – Mongar

Drive to Mongar across the country’s highest mountain pass.  Evening visit the Mongar Dzong and explore Mongar town.

Day 11   Mongar – Tashigang

Drive to Tashigang. Afternoon sightseeing of the township.

Day 12   Tashigang

Explore Tashigang with visit to Choeten Kora.

Day 13  Tashigang – Samdrup Jongkhar

Drive to Samdrup Jongkhar and visit Zangdopelri Temple at Kanglung. Farewell dinner.

Day 14   Samdrup Jongkhar – Gauhati

Onwards to Gauhati (India) for departure.  Our Bhutan staff will help with departure procedures. (B)
